Big Sioux Composite Squadron Cadets Learn to Fly sUAS

May 5, 2021

Big Sioux Composite Squadron gave their cadets the opportunity to learn about and practice flying sUAS (Small Unmanned Aerial Systems) at their April 22nd and April 29th cadet meetings.

At our April 22nd meeting, Capt. Ben Kallas taught our cadets about sUAS and how to fly them at our normal Big Sioux Composite Squadron meeting location. This was a necessary informational meeting before our cadets were able to have fun with sUAS in the next week’s meeting. Although they spent this time on April 22nd indoors, our cadets spent their time with sUAS at Fishback Soccer Complex on April 29th. We are tentatively planning on giving our cadets more opportunities to fly sUAS because Big Sioux Composite Squadron is always growing and we want all of our cadets to have this opportunity.

We are excited and thankful that we can provide this opportunity to our cadets!
